Attalla is a relatively small town where everyone knows their neighbors. We may not all get along, but if you are broken down you can wave down someone to help without fear.
The overall experience of this area is quiet. Comfortable, even. It's a quaint little living area great for families.
Police respond quickly when they are actually needed, but the crime rates are low. The cops are not needed that often.
