I moved to Aspinwall when I was five years old. Some of my favorite events and memories have been attending Fall in the Wall, Light up Night, Green Streets, and working at the local Flea Market. I am very proud of my town and their efforts to keep Aspinwall clean and green. I often volunteer with my dad, who is apart of the Aspinwall Tree Committee, and plant and prune trees. The experiences I have had in this small town have shaped me into the person I am today and I could have not asked for a more welcoming town to grow up in. I hope that I return to Aspinwall in my adult years and continue to enjoy the many wonderful things about this town.
I really love the area I live in. It is walking distance from many different kinds of shops, restaurants and businesses, including but not limited to hair salons, dentistry, advertisement agency, home store, flower shop, bakery, and a vegetarian restaurant. A vast majority of the home owners in the area are friendly and welcoming. There are always people out in their yards, on their porches, and walking their dogs and children. There are community events such as light up night, an event that goes on in November, celebrating the season, Christmas and other winter holidays, and the community as a whole. This is a wonderful place to raise kids for the many reasons mentioned above.
I love where I live, I just wish the houses were not so close and had more room for change. They do not have big backyards either. This is the feel of the entire neighborhood though, so if someone wanted to live here they would have to understand that that is what comes with it.
