- Town in Arkansas
Rating 4 out of 5 7 reviews
I moved to Ashdown, a small town located in Arkansas, at 3 years of age. I remained there for 45 years. Ashdown is a community based town where most people know one another and thrive on creating an inviting environment. School spirit and the support for our children is one of the many drawing factors of our small community. Our town is located near the Texas - Arkansas state line yielding many job opportunities. Ashdown is home to Millwood Lake, one of the greatest fishing lakes in Arkansas. It is only a short drive to some of Arkansas's most beautiful rivers and mountains. The crime rate in our little town is very low making Ashdown a great place to call home!
The police follow if you are black. They follow me roadbehind for along time, and they follow my wife.I walk in burger king and an office stare me down.I want be here long.I heard black people come up missing in this town.
Love the small town vibe. Small schools, small class size. The community comes together for each other
I like about Ashdown the fact that everyone knows everyone. You can always count on seeing someone you know when you go out. The community supports each other in everyday possible. During community events, the whole town shows up in support of one another. For example, anything from football games to the town auction people will show up with smiles on their faces. Also, I have lived here my whole life and am grateful for the people I have around me. I receive support from my town.
Nice small town with awesome people. Close to bigger cities. Ashdown truly is a great place to call home.
Everyone knows everyone! They all go above and beyond to help anyone in need! You can always find something to eat, weather you want your normal chain branches; sonic, burgerking, mcdonalds, or subway.. but they also have some food of their own! Medranoes, and jerrys are locally owned businesses!
