Ash Flat is a small town in rural Arkansas. This small town has lent me a life full of joyous adventures. Much of my younger days were spent hanging out in community stores and helping out where ever possible. Through my teenage years I have found my self spending more and more time at Highland High School, where I attend. This has given me many opportunities to immerse myself in my community by participating in community service projects. Now days, the amount of younger people getting active in our community seems to be dwindling. It would be so nice to see children and the elderly interacting and sharing sweet times with each other like I once did. Although the present town of Ash Flat may not be the same as it was ten years ago, it still has an energy about it that has made people like me want to stay.
Ash Flat, AR is situated among a few other small towns, close by Highland, Cherokee Village, Evening Shade, and Hardy, AR. We have the only Walmart Super Center around for 30 miles, we have a Bowling Alley, Hardy has a more active night life than Ash Flat. I like Ash Flat mostly because it is beautiful and quiet, also there is a branch of the Ozarka College here as well. I have heard good things about the local schools, I can't imagine anyone getting hurt around here as long as they pay attention to what they are doing, very Family friendly area with plenty of things to do with the whole family. Cherokee Village has several lakes and even a small waterfall and creek that runs through the middle of town center, it is fairly cheap area to live in. There is a total of three stop lights in this entire area, so the traffic around here is not bad, finding work or the foods you will want may be hard, because of the small area.
The police are present in the community and are quick to respond. Crime is present but at a relatively low frequency.
