Nice local town feeling, right in between Denver and the foothills of CO. Clean, low crime, nice neighbors. Close to multiple grocery stores (King Soopers, Natural Grocer, Sprouts), Walmart, Colorado Mills Mall, minutes from city or mountains. I recently moved here and I love it. There's not much I would change, though it seems people don't really pay attention when they drive. But so far so good! Real estate and rentals are high, but otherwise the cost of living (food, etc) is pretty low. Balances out nicely.

I like how everything is so conveniently located. Also, there are very helpful and friendly neighbors and police officers. They helped me find my missing puppies!
Arvada has a lot of history that has been fun to explore. The schools in Arvada are top notch! They really are passionate about their children and helping them grow to be the best they can be. I have had the opportunity to assist in volunteer service work to clean up streets around the community. Even though the city has aged and is in need of some repair, hopefully by our one small action, Arvada will be more valuable to current and future residents.
