Archer is a small rural town in Florida with one stop light and a few stores. The town is about 20 miles west of Gainesville just far away from all the crazy that goes on within the town. The town is quiet and slow-paced, you can get a pretty good piece of property for a low-price. The people here are wonderful and friendly and always willing to help you at the drop of a dime. Archer is just far enough away to see the stars and have a quiet night, but close enough where if you want to do something fun, it doesn't take you along time to drive to something you can do.
I have lived here sense I was 6 years old, I am now 33. I love this small town. It is home for me and I am raising my 3 children here now. They go to the same schools I attended, have some of the same teachers I had. My children get to grow up with the children of those I grew up with. There are always flaws in every town but with out a doubt the good out weighs the bad in Archer!
Archer is a small farm town in north central Florida. We would be lucky if the population surpassed 1,000. I’ve lived here almost my whole life and what I like about it is the close connection we have. The people here know each other and we care for each other. If we know Bill with all the goats and parrots needs help he just has to holler and we’ll come. The only thing I’d like to change is some of the infrastructure. The roads have a lot of potholes and the buildings are old. It would be nice if there were some renovations made.
