I like Arcadia because it's very community oriented. There is a huge movie theater with a mall in the middle of it in the Santa Anita Mall--where we also receive special entertainment such as the circus. The Santa Anita Race Track is right next to it as well as the Arboretum. There's a lot of different things to do, but it also doesn't feel like a city. So, it's great! There's tons of restaurants and assortments in the area. You're never short of options. The downfalls of Arcadia are that sometimes the drivers are not the best. Also, if you are trying to go out during a week and/or weekend night after 9PM, your best bet is the movie theater. That's really the only thing available.

The town is built around an award-winning school district. Private school education in Arcadia's public school! While we like the academic challenge provided, there have been concerns about my 6 year old feeling pressure too soon. This is met with innovative resources to support. Kudos! Climate is great, set against picturesque mountains. A place where exotic peacocks roam freely.
I grew up in Arcadia and it's very nice and family-friendly. The school system is great because the teachers and administration are all very friendly and always lend a hand to those who are struggling. Arcadia is predominantly Asian because many families move in and it seems like a safe space. However, the pressure to do well inside and outside of school raises the bar for many students and it takes a toll on their sleep schedule and mental health. And around the summer, the 626 Night Market is a big hit. I love it as many people do and on top of that, Arcadia does have a variety of boba stores from Wushuland, Au79, T to Tea, Ten Ren's, Cha Time, and Ding Tea to Tea Brick, Sharetea, Half and Half, Tancca, Nestea and Tapioca Express. I would like to see fewer apartments and condos built for a change because the Arcadia public schools are very packed. Usually, there aren't enough desks or chairs for everyone in the class and we would borrow it from other classrooms.
