I have been a resident of Arcadia since 2009. I attended Dana Middle School and then went on to Arcadia High School where I believe I received the best public education in the area. Arcadia High thoroughly prepared me for college where I am having little difficulty with my classes. Additionally, I have always felt safe in this city, day or night. Previous to moving here, I lived in a more "rough" neighborhood and found it surprising how at ease I felt walking around the city by myself. There has never been a time when I have felt threatened in Arcadia.
Although the education environment (high school, middle schools, and elementary schools) are all very competitive and structured, I think the overall area is extremely family friendly. I would like to move back when I have a family of my own because the community has all that I can ask for. There is not much of a night life in Arcadia, which is one of the only cons of living here. My experiences have made me believe that Arcadia is one of the safest, beneficial places to raise your children. The living cost is expensive, so the wealth margin is considerably high, the majority ethnic group is Asian, but there are a fair amount of minorities in the high school.

I would rank this area as one of the top in California. It's a friendly environment and not isolated, for neighboring cities are close by and have more to do. The future for this area seems to be going in a positive direction, however, the school environments might become more competitive, which in my opinion is not needed, for it is already so competitive. Adolescents are beginning to compare each other to one another, which might lower their self-esteem, but I think when they move on to college or adulthood, they will realize comparing yourself is not beneficial in life.
I like the weather here, in Southern California, is never too hot and never too cold. We have the four seasons here, but in winter it never snows. However, the weather here in Southern California is amazing because its really good for the fauna and flora that we have. The natural disaster are not happening that much, what most affect us is the draught that Southern California has now. So, the most essential things on my wardrobe are a couple of tennis a nice shirt and shorts!
