I love Appleton, it has been my home for my whole life. The school district is very considerate, and is also willing to help people who need help with money issues. Especially know during the corona virus, the teachers and administration are offering food and any help that students may need during this rough time. It is a very kid friendly area, and a great place for your family. Practically nothing bad really happens in Appleton. There is a ton of schools in the area that are amazing. There is also a ton of parks for your kids to play at. I think that you would love it here!
Appleton is by far the best city in Wisconsin. It has great places for travelers, local people, animals, everyone! Amazing, friendly people who care about the environment and the city. Downtown is amazing as well. I wouldn't change a thing about Appleton because it is a safe city where I would consider raising my kids.
Appleton was my first experience living in a bigger city, and I'm quite happy with what I've seen over the years. It's refreshing to live in an area where everything is a short five minute drive instead of driving 15 minutes to get to the grocery store. The downtown area is very lively and offers a wide range of stores and restaurants. Art is always on display, and you can usually find a protest or two during the summer, which shows that our right of free speech is not hindered in Appleton, regardless of the argument. As it is a bigger city, the safety comes into question. Police and ambulance sirens are not foreign to me, and as a woman I'm always on edge while walking the streets. Overall I'd say that Appleton has the classic downfalls of any city, but taking a closer look, there's a lot to enjoy.
