    Antrim Reviews

Antrim is very small and pretty easy to maintain. The police and fire squad are top notch and their reaction time is great, especially because you can get just about anywhere in town in about five minutes. The roads are always maintained and the community is a nice place to hang out. I am not very involved with our local representatives, but it seems to me that they do their job well. The only thing i disagree with is the town almost passed a bill allowing wind turbines to be put up. Luckily, it got turned down because they would have harmed the environment and the people.
There is nothing wrong with the local businesses in the area other than the lack of them. Antrim has a small family-owned grocery store, a Dunkin Donuts, a few small auto repair shops, a bank, a small bakery, an Ace Hardware/Edmunds, and a hair salon. The Dunkin Donuts brings in the most business to the town. I like that the town is small and has keep large corporations out. The only that would be convenient would be a drug store. The closest is a ten minute drive, which isn't bad at all, its just out of town. Other than that, my house is in walking distance to all the other shops.
I have lived in Antrim my entire life and this is where I want to raise a family. It is a small town where everyone knows everyone. I have always felt safe living here. There are small crimes that happen just like any other place, but it is such a small town that not much happens. There are always police doing there job and keeping everyone in check. I have gone on night time walks through the town, and been by myself in less populated areas, but I have never felt worried or uncomfortable about it.
