Moved to Anna 3-4 months ago. So far, everyone in the area/neighbor are awesome people and have a lot in common. Most people come here to raise their family in a relatively safe area, good school district, and reasonable homes that have appreciation potential. The town is definitely growing super fast, and will look similar to places like prosper in the near future. Most people seem to commute to their jobs in Collin county. The best part in my opinion is the peaceful living, while also having access to the city/airport/hustle & bustle within 30-40 minutes. Highly recommend this city! You won't be disappointed unless you dislike peace, helpful neighbors, and a family feel! Nightlife is something I don't desire, but again you are close enough to get the action if that interest you.

Homeschooler, so can't rate schools, but the middle school building looked structurally sound when I went in to take my SAT. Not interested at all in any kind of nightlife.
Definitely a growing town; has a Walmart now, and the people who do that kind of thing are allegedly planning a Chick-fil-a, a Panda Express, and a Whataburger. Currently has a McDonalds, a Taco Bell/KFC, a Sonic, and a Carl's Jr. attached to a truck stop. On the mostly-barren side of the highway there is a Subway and a random Italian restaurant.
Should be an okay place for most people to live, especially if they avoid the Walmart at night or on holidays. Good distance from McKinney or Sherman for commuting, and not too far from the Allen outlets if that's something you'd be interested in. At least two homeschool co-ops within thirty minutes; if you can visit both near the end of a semester to get a feel for the group, please do.
I absolutely love Anna! Small town, but plenty of local activities, shopping, and restaurants. It felt like home as soon as we moved in.
