For being a small town, there are lots of opportunities in the community. There is a strong sense of togetherness about the people and everyone in the community is very welcoming and caring.
Nice small community if your wanting to raise children in a small town. Anamosa school is constantly updating their school. The middle school is brand new. The high school just built a new auditorium. There is two elementary schools. Strawberry Hill, which is a public elementary school which goes up to fourth grade. The other school is a private Catholic school called Saint Patricks. Saint Patricks Elementary school goes up to sixth grade. Over all Anamosa is a good place to raise a family. Not so much if your looking for a life in the fast lane. Nothing really changes that much in Anamosa.
Anamosa is a great place to raise a family but that's about it . It's a small school feel with no a lot of opportunies. It lacks jobs which means commute time is huge. While the town may be small and not promising with work, it is a very beautiful place to live and it has a lot of potential for growth.
