I love living in Altoona. It has a small town feel with big city characteristics. There is always activities to take part in, big or small. We have a theme park called Adventureland that attracts many people from all over. We are only 10 minutes away from the state fairgrounds. Our community is very family friendly, there is always stuff for the whole family to do.
Review Altoona
Small town feel yet expanding and growing with a great horse track and everything you need for doctor's, entertainment, grocery shopping and more.
Here in Altoona, we have a few big attractions. Adventureland is a large theme park that brings in families from all over the state. Prarie Meadows Racetrack and Casino attracts many adults. In August, we have the Iowa State Fair, which mass amounts of people come to not only see the attractions, but eat loads and loads of fried food on a stick!
