I was born here, and I’ve lived here all my life. It’s a pleasant community not too far from Orlando - the theme parks are about a half hour away. There are plenty of things to do around the Altamonte area, and hospitals, restaurants, parks, and shopping are just a couple of minutes’ drive from a given home. It’s not the prettiest town, and there have been drug issues and robberies in the past, but it has overall been a nice place to live.
One must be selective in choosing which street to live on. There are nice roads with good neighbors, but streets populated by unkempt and unseemly houses are also quite easy to find.
The Orlando/Altamonte area has been mildly strict in terms of COVID, and wearing masks in an establishment is mandatory 99% of the time, but schools, parks, and restaurants are still open for business and dine-in.

A clean and active community. Good schools and activities. Entertainment, restaurants, movie theatre and shopping all centrally located. Great 4th of July celebration with Red, Hot, and Boom!
Great place to live! The mall, hospital, groceries, restaurants, and sunrail are near by. Not as crowded as Orlando and it is quieter to live in Altamonte Springs.
