Alpha has been my home for over 18 years and I have seen it undergo some changes - most of it for the better. This town is quite small, yet it is convenient to major stores and highways. The crime rate is very low, and the residents are friendly. Between the town, the school, our volunteer FD, and our small local library, there are many social opportunities. There are two things that keep me from giving my town 5 stars: our taxes are quite high, and there are members on our town council (who keep getting re-elected because their name goes back generations in town) who refuse to vote to allow us to reopen our community pool, which the people of the town have voted to refurbish and reopen. Truthfully, if we had our community pool (one of the reasons we moved here in the first place) I would probably give Alpha 5 stars, even with the higher taxes.
It is a small town with limited resources but it is clean, peaceful and a great place to grow up.
