Always expanding and providing new services to the community. A lot of construction going on to improve the roads and water systems within the neighborhoods. A brand new urgent care has been built across one of the major cross streets so we have easier access to healthcare. An abundance of parks and schools, great for kids. Grocery store is nice and taken care of, always a plus. Got to love the dollar store as well. We bought our first house in this community and raising our kids here has been great.
Depends on where in Aloha/Beaverton you live. Cost of homes are expensive, it looks like a poverty area with unkept yards/buildings, no sidewalks, junk cars, homeless, and worn down buildings. Yes, some nature parks but no sidewalks to get there. Roads are two ways lanes without any markings so people drive down the center of the road. Rude driversalways running lights, stop signs,TVHWY speeds up 60 mph, tailgating. Drivers forget that if something/someone is in your lane (walking/stopped vehicle) you don't have the right-away to take over the other on-coming lane, you need to slow down. Speed limits are25 mph in most areas. Bascotti Park area is the worse with traffic near that park with no control whatsoever from Police/Sherrifs.
This congested area drivers play chicken with each other. Aloha/Beaverton area roads need clear markings. This is apparent more and more all over Aloha/Beaverton area. Some one else said drivers have no regards to pedistrains.Highly true and scary.

I like the diversity of my town and I enjoy the suburban area. The neighborhood I live in is really pretty with all the trees and plants, and it's a very friendly area. However, there is a lack of funding for my school, Aloha High School, and other schools in Oregon. We have large classroom sizes which makes it hard for teachers to make the learning experience better. Besides that, great school and great area!
