I have lived in Algood for 3 years. I like that it is a smaller community with quick access to a larger town, easy access to state highways and interstates, and is being constantly improved. They have many restaurants, both chain and locally owned. They have good schools, elementary and middle school, and isn't far from the high school. It's a quiet area, great for families or older couples.

Cookeville is a flourishing, family oriented city. Consistent and rising growth over the last decade. Although it's borders are expanding, franchise and local businesses booming, the integrity of the small town or community focus is never compromised. A place to be welcomed, start a new season and let the unique flavor of this city give you to a happier life!
This is a very quiet town with a quick commute to Cookeville and the Interstate. Although, there isn't much in the way of grocery shopping other than Was-Mart close by.
