Algonquin Township Reviews
Rating 3.96 out of 5 28 reviews
I love Algonquin. It is a great, family oriented place to live. You have every thing you can imagine within a short drive. All kinds of grocery stores, clothing stores, activities, and restaurants/fast food places. Wonderful library and there is a public pool as well. Number of parks/playgrounds and nearby walking/running/biking trails. Close to a few train stations. School system is nice as well. Despite all of this, Algonquin is not very diverse. While there are liberal/progressive residents, a majority are conservative.
Algonquin is a beautiful place wether you're a young family, just starting a family to retired. It has something for everyone to enjoy with a shopping center and beautiful nature preserves.
It's pretty good overall but there's not sidewalks everywhere so that's kind of annoying and the schools aren't the greatest. There are plenty of grocery stores and there's stuff to do around here plus there are fun other towns nearby too. Lots of nature to explore and lots of walking that can be done (not that it's on sidewalks but oh well) it's a very Hill filled town but it's very pretty. It definitely screams "1990s suburbia" which is kind of fun to have.
