Albany Reviews
Rating 3.33 out of 5 3 reviews
It is a quiet town, with friendly people. The current internet service offered there is not great and there isn't a lot of activities to do there once it gets cold, but if you want a quiet, affordable town to live or commute from it is worth living there.
Albany is honestly the cutest town. It is in no way large, but they compete on a larger scale. The people here know everyone's names and are kind. Most residents of Albany go the extra mile just to help people around them. In a fast paced and cut throat world like today- that is so incredibly rare.
Only good thing about this town is it's history. Town is a tourist joke in the summer which has a 4 fold police presence to control it, because they've created a spring break ideology, at the expense of tax payers. Business interests are valued over resident interest, which is laughable when property tax payed are equivalent to Madison with none of the benefits. Check in the Green County record and see the village is broke, but just took out a loan from the county to buy another truck and building. Way to stick tax payers with more poor management.
School was teaching material behind the tests for it. Homes are not well maintained.
Don't waste time moving here. Always have to go somewhere else to get what you need. No stores, besides bars and a few laughable restaurants.
Town needs to get over itself and accept it will always be a farming town, before it tanks in the next century.
