As a 50 year resident the positives of safety, excellent schools and care for our community have changed very little.
What I like about Alamo, California is that it is a small community yet has events going on all the time. It is definitely a prime area that many people go to in order to start a family. It is often known to be very safe as well.
Quaint suburb with lots of trees and hills. Great opportunities for hiking or just spending time outdoors. Roads are well maintained. Very wealthy neighborhood so affordability is nil.
it is a quaint cute community. It has great public school. It is a perfect place to raise a family. However, it is very expensive.
While Alamo may not have everything to offer, because of it's position close to Walnut Creek and San Fransisco and the greater Bay Area, allows for great opportunities for jobs in Silicon Valley, San Jose, San Fransisco, education, with several prestigious colleges within driving distance, plenty of Nightlife in Walnut Creek and Concord, great outdoor opportunities with both Mount Diablo's Trails, and the Iron Horse Trail for bikers and runners.
