I love the fact that there is much culture, history, and engaging activities to immerse yourself into. The educational system here is excellent and there are many employment opportunities for a smaller area. There is a friendly and diverse mix of people here that provides a welcoming environment. This is a very safe area with lots of living options for homebuyers as well. Overall, I feel that Aiken is a wonderful and has something for just about family large or small!

I have lived in Aiken for most of my life. I enjoy the quiet atmosphere. Downtown Aiken is very quaint and has a lot to offer like eateries and shopping. The area offers sports like soccer, tennis, baseball and equestrian. There are plenty of opportunities for the arts as well, like the Etherridge Center at the university campus, the local playhouse and the summer arts at Hopeland Gardens. Aiken is within two to four hour driving ranges to beaches, mountains and amusement parks and within an hour to college football games.
Aiken is a wonderful place to live and a fun area to visit. Aiken is an equestrian community. There are Polo matches to watch and Horse races to attend. Both the races and polo matches make for a exciting day with friends, family and food!
