Working in Adelanto
Adelanto, like every city, has its positives and negatives. Adelanto is a small town located in the Mojave Desert about thirty minutes north of the inland empire , through the Cajon pass. Adelanto is a very isolated place, very quiet, and polution free to which you can see the stars at night. The high desert itself has one of the bet sunsets you can ever experience and the economy exceeds compared to the city of Los Angeles. Although the town offers a quiet environment, the people can be dangerous. Places such as old Adelanto withhold gang members and at times shootings occur. However, I myself have not first- hand experienced these events and I have lived niche life in the town with many amazing opportunities.
While it's not one of the worst cities in the High Desert, there is not much to see. It is very good for those who would love to live in a city where people mind. However, there seems to be some small crimes going around late at night and it's unsafe to walk or be out at night in this city due to this. There is not a lot of events going around in this city since most events are being presented in the city next to Adelanto, which is Victorville. The schools are average and while there are some good schools, most would not meet your expectations.
Adelanto is a great town with great diversity and even though I still may be young I feel that this small town has a lot to change. As a High school Junior I hear about fights and sometimes violence outside of school, which I believe should be resolved with tighter patrols or encouraging citizens to report any violence to police. Luckily the mayor, Rich Kurr, has approved the construction of more shops nearer to residential areas because the usual commute to a store from where I live is about 5 minutes max 2 1/2 minutes minimum. Overall this city is a great place to raise a family and to live peacefully even when the weather feels like it will melt you or when it will turn you into a human popsicle.
