The area is nice and it has a small town vibe even though its growing bigger. Lots of new people are moving into the town which is fine, but the older residents that have lived here the longest do not like it what so ever. A lot of them have really messy yards with random junk in them. There is even a house like that right when you get into town so that everyone can see. The other thing is that the main intersection in the town has no turn light, and it makes a mess at all times in the day. Town square is very nice and the courthouse is absolutely beautiful!
Adel is a safe area that is full of friendly people. I've never had any issues while in Adel. There's not much to do here because it is a small town, but there's some good qualities to it!
Wonderful small town! Lots of small shops and restaurants. Awesome community and close to Waukee and West Des Moines for more shopping.
