I have called this place home for the last 3 years. This is where I see my son and I continuing to grow as a family. The neighborhood is amazing, we have a bike trail he likes to ride on, and a dog park close by. I feel safe here being a single parent, I don't have any worries. We are close to everything almost walking distances to restaurants, grocery stores, movie theaters and my sons favorite place Chipotle.! I would recommend this city to anyone looking for a place to raise kids, be close to everything they could want, and feel comfortable.
The overall experience I have in this area is that it is amazing! I love Addison! There are small little cafes, shops, and overall just a cozy area. I would love to stay here, but when starting a family I would like to move to a suburb. I see this area continuing to prosper and continue to grow. I think it attracts younger, or single people.
Small suburb, just north of Dallas. Very easy to get to, just hop on the Dallas North Tollway and head north from Dallas. Their restaurant row is smorgasbord of different cuisines and styles. They are most famous for Kaboomtown their 4th of July fireworks display, but there is at least one festival every season from Taste of Addison to Shakespeare in the Park, there is always something going on.
