We have a volunteer fire department and have one deputy county sheriff designated to the town. Crime isn't really an issue around here, and if there is the town comes together to handle it as one. There aren't many street lights since it isn't a very heavily populated area but safety is never really a concern.
I've grown up in this town, it's the type of town where everyone waves to each other. Everyone is always very friendly and not afraid to help if you're in need.
Other than the school, there aren't any groups.
