Aberdeen, New Jersey, is a charming town with exceptional aspects for residents. The middle school has a positive reputation, making it ideal for families. Crime is low, ensuring a secure environment. Housing options cater to diverse preferences and budgets. The nightlife has improved, with restaurants and bars nearby. There is everything you could possibly need within a 10-15 min drive. It's great for families, with caring communities and good schools. The weather is typical for New Jersey, and the cost of living is reasonable compared to neighboring towns. Health and fitness enthusiasts have access to gyms and nature trails. Outdoor activities abound with parks and hiking trails. Transportation options make commuting easy. Aberdeen offers a delightful suburban lifestyle, picturesque landscapes, and a vibrant community spirit, making it a wonderful place to call home.
My husband and I moved here three years ago and love it. Friendly people. Convenient shopping for food and other necessities, as well as several specialty grocery stores, both in town and within a 15 minute drive. Direct train service in town to Manhattan, quick access to major highways/Newark International airport. Close proximity to beautiful beaches, parks, and shore towns in Monmouth County. Great restaurants and breweries in Aberdeen/Matawan and nearby towns. The town is bustling but still maintains a peaceful atmosphere. Great quality of life overall.
Has many resources when it comes to daily life, no matter which road you take. Can easily accommodate all walks of life. Public transportation includes access to train stations to NYC, buses, and uber / Lyft friendly. Only downside is everyone is in a hurry to get to where they're going.
