Safe-ish, but boring... college is great, but what after? Job selection is awful (unless you like fast food for $9/hr) My major is limited because of lacking opportunity. People are... something...here. I think their attitude is hasty because there is literally nothing to do as a long term resident. Shopping sucks, overall town maintenance is awful. Meth is HUGE these days here, it’s awful. Don’t move here. There are other places with more opportunities for your children & yourself somewhere else! I’ve lived in several other places, and I travel out of Aberdeen atleast twice a month, I can’t wait to get outta here!
Aberdeen is a very relaxing place to be, whether that be spending a weekend camping or living in town. Such a supportive community and willing to do anything to help. There is always some type of event going on, which we love. There is no place like Aberdeen!
I go to college at Northern State University (NSU) which is located in Aberdeen, SD. I love how the community supports the colleges and athletics. Aberdeen is very involved with NSU. Aberdeen is a very affordable for all people and I believe it is a family friendly community. Aberdeen has a lot of open availability for jobs. One thing I wish to change in Aberdeen is to get people out and about in the community. They do support but it would be nice to see the people more.
