I've liked that they've given their students many opportunities to gain volunteer hours. However, they lack discipline with their teachers. We have had many teachers who have verbally harassed children with mental disabilities like ptsd and anxiety. After coming forward with these concerns, we were dismissed and nothing was done about it. But teachers aren't my main issue. The bullying at this school isn't as bad as most other places, but what little we do have ins't very well controlled. Unfortunately, it has taken multiple suicides within our community just to have a "suicide prevention week". As someone who struggles with mental health, I do appreciate the effort they are putting forward, however it does seem a bit half-hearted. I have also noticed that the communication between staff members, or the lack thereof, causes problems that affect students just as much as it affects the staff. Overall, very below average socially.

So many of my teachers shaped who I was, especially as a student who was abused at home and needed a place with structure and love. The teachers believed in my education and art and I still go back to visit. They also have a dual enrollment program so I was able to complete many college courses for my AA degree with FSCJ while still in high school!
I moved to Yulee High School at the beginning of my sophomore year, and overall it has been a pleasant experience! I met many friendly people and incredible teachers who always encourage you to give your best effort. I had the opportunity to take college classes and even travel to Europe!
