Young Women's Preparatory Academy Reviews
Rating 3.76 out of 5 132 reviews
Young Women's Preparatory Academy is a good small school, especially for those who are not used to big schools. It provides advanced classes, so this can look good on the student's record. It gives resources from volunteering opportunities/internships/jobs to scholarships that helps the student to grow and get the best education that they possibly can! It can be stressful, but if you are very disciplined and have a desire to do the best, especially for your future, I would recommend this school.
Young Women's Preparatory Academy excels in academics, offering a rigorous curriculum that challenges students across all subjects from middle school onwards. By pushing themselves, students are prepared for college and equipped with valuable skills. Their small student population allows for teachers to pay more personalized attention to students and for counselors to really support the students. YWPA provides various opportunities like internships, dual enrollment, AP/honors courses, online classes, and student-led clubs. Their outstanding STEM department allows participation in competitions. Sports, however, are not available. While not suitable for everyone due to the demands of significant dedication to academics for success, I would highly recommend this school to girls who are looking to challenge themselves and would like a more personalized approach to their education. As a recent graduate, I value my experience and its contribution to my achievements.
It's a good school for you if you wanna challenge yourself academically. Every course is advanced, so it's hard to have good grades, and the stress is real. It's worth all the stress though and all the challenges because it does prepare us for college and helps us to be in a good college for sure. I've been in this school since 6th grade! It did help me to get out of ESOL, but I'm just an average student, and being fed with advanced classes just caused me to have bad grades in this school. Later, I started to catch up and it's not really that bad, but I dislike having to struggle with the stress I recieve from the advanced classes cause it's not in my level and I'm just not capable of having straight A's as much as I desire and I accept that I'm not an 'A' student. But, it's good if it's your desire and your choice to be in this school because if you're forced into this school, you'll hate it big time. Just me being honest.
