YLHS is a great school when it comes to academics; however, the experience there is alright. They have pretty good school spirit, athletic teams, clubs and academic teams. The food is inedible and there is not enough seating for students during lunch. There is a separate parking lot for senior students only, which is a major plus! The campus is beautiful and has an amazing view of Orange County

I am very fortunate to have had the amazing, passionate teachers from YLHS. Not only did they go in depth on our subjects for AP tests and finals, but they also taught us life lessons and real world applications beyond the tests. The administration was very involved in its students' academics, and even the principal would come out to support sports and the arts, like concert band. There was a very diverse spread of classes and many clubs that taught specialized lessons in robotics, poetry, and even fashion. The school was mostly populated by white and asian students, but that is mostly due to our residential area. Overall, I am so grateful to have attended and graduated YLHS because I truly feel I was given the best opportunity.
Overall my experience at Yorba Linda High School was good and I definitely feel they have properly prepared me for college. I am now a senior and excited about embarking on my college journey at San Francisco State University. I ran track my freshman and sophomore years and made the varsity team my freshman year, as well as making it all the way to CIF for the 400x4. I have a diagnosed learning disability which qualified me for an Individual Education Plan (IEP) through my high school career. With that said, I was accommodated with special services as needed, and my teachers and counselors provided tremendous support. Through my academic challenges, I still was able to maintain a 3.0 GPA or better and earned a 22 on my ACT score. Yorba Linda High School offers great resources for their students and the faculty members care about your academic success.
