Let's start with the positives: Yorba Linda has an absolutely GORGEOUS campus (one of the best ones for a high school I've ever seen), great academics, prestigious business and culinary programs, and an abundance parking spaces (if that's at all important to you). Like every other school, there are good and bad teachers. However, the students here are sub-par, to say the least. First of all, there is not much school spirit because the kids are too busy bragging about their "clout" or luxury. Obviously, this is a generalization, but I still believe that the amount of arrogance I've encountered is higher than is good. Academic-wise, the school is incredibly academic. There are a plethora of students enrolled in AP and honors courses, so it is difficult to stand out academically. All in all, Yorba Linda High provides students with great academics, moderate school spirit, and variable student personalities.

I was a part of the first 4 year graduating class at Yorba Linda High School. As a part of this special group, we were tasked with setting traditions for future students to take part in. The academics, clubs, sports, etc. were excellent, students were set up to succeed. I felt that during my time, the environment was very inclusive and welcoming to all students. Perhaps I would change the amount of resources available to the students. There were a fair amount, but I felt that more could have been done by counselors to ensure the students knew the resources that were accessible to them.
YLHS is a great school when it comes to academics; however, the experience there is alright. They have pretty good school spirit, athletic teams, clubs and academic teams. The food is inedible and there is not enough seating for students during lunch. There is a separate parking lot for senior students only, which is a major plus! The campus is beautiful and has an amazing view of Orange County
