Yellow Springs High School focuses too much on their new Project Based Learning initiative. This focus takes attention away from actual curriculum. It also is executed poorly and often results in lost time for learning. Many poorer students are left with little resources or information on how to apply for colleges, loans or scholarships.

They have a unique “project-based learning” curriculum that does a lot for interpersonal skills, but very little for test-taking capabilities. This is sort’ve the point, but it doesn’t bode as well for the current college entry process.
Great student-teacher relationships. Small selection of electives and extracurricular, but what is offered is fairly unique and very well attended. Shout out to School Forest!
