My experience at Xavier College Preparatory has not only allowed for me to make new friends, but also explore my interests further. The teachers, administration, and staff truly care about their students and want them to achieve academic success. Although the work can be heavy at times and require students to study for many hours each night, it does prepare you for what you will encounter in college. My only complaint would be the competitiveness of the school, in both academics and athletics. Although there are many clubs for students to get involved in, it is difficult to receive the opportunity to participate in a sport if you have not been training for years. The same situation goes with Student Council. The same girls get on each year, leaving other girls without the opportunity to obtain a leadership position. Despite these downfalls, I do feel as though Xavier is the right fit for me. Go Gators!

I just finished up my freshman year at Xavier and absolutely loved it. I had an excellent time and found it very easy to get involved. The teachers have a genuine bond with every girl they teach and will do a lot to help a girl who might be struggling. As a member of the volleyball team, I found comfort in all of my teammates and friends and made great bonds! Xavier values athletics, but equally values academics. With a wide array of AP and Honors classes it is so easy to challenge yourself and better yourself academically. I've seen on here a lot that girls are 'cliquish' and 'petty' but this couldn't be farther from the truth. Everyone at Xavier is kind, caring, and warm to everyone they meet. As everyone says, the best part of Xavier is the rallies! As a member of student council, they are clearly the girls favorite part of the season! I totally recommend going to 8th grade day, even if Xavier isn't your number one pick! Overall, I totally recommend attending XCP! Go Gators!
Overall, I had a great experience at Xavier, but it was mainly because I got out of it what I put in. You have to find the good in Xavier, whether that's joining a club, participating in a sport, taking a leadership role, etc. I immersed myself in the community, which is pretty necessary if you want to get a lot out of high school! My biggest complaint would be the STEM programs at Xavier. The school claims to be huge on science and math, and yet students cannot take a science their freshman year unless they test into Honors Biology. Luckily I was able to do that, but I found the science programs to be pretty underwhelming besides my bio and anatomy class. The math program is also a joke.
