I have enjoyed my experience of being able to attend Xavier College Prep for the last 4 years. Many of the teachers are new to teaching, but offer great academics and fun ways to get involved in the classroom. The technology program is growing and getting many kids to be apart of classes such as A+ Certification, AP computer science and robotics. The college counselors are constantly helping out with getting the seniors ready for college and ensure they are on track to success. We have a growing student body with many new clubs and activities who all participate in extracurricular school events. All in all, Xavier has felt like a home and i feel supported everyday by the teachers and faculty.

Going into this school, my family and I were filled with only the highest expectations. A little word of advice, don’t place expectations too high. Although this school offered great programs, such as AP classes, good opportunities for community service, and weekly mass, most of the offered programs fell short on quality. What this school lacked in quality, it made up for in heart. This school was where I met some of the most down to earth people, but also where I discovered the negative social side effects of attending a private school. Hopefully, there has been some change in the academics department, as far as no longer hiring teachers straight out of college without the proper credentials. God Bless this school in that it has made, and continues to make, changes for the better, so that way the Coachella Valley can happily promote a Catholic-Jesuit Colleg Preparatory High School.
I was a student here from August 2014 to May 2018 and I believe that XCP has a lot of potential but ultimately fails. There was an emphasis on how us students had a culture that was "different" but I failed to understand as I saw my classmates be caustic to each other and the faculty. The admin response to this was marking the class as problematic openly, and did nothing to help the situation. The academics are (simply put) trash. The teachers have a big part to do with this, because first it was hard for students to muster respect from a teacher fresh out of undergrad, and similarly difficult for instructors to know how to teach when they themselves were in school months before. Unless something has changed in this school after my graduation, I wouldn't waste your money on a subpar education that can definitely be achieved in the school down Cook St.

I think this school did a lot for me (like get into college) but it was not anything that I couldn't have achieved elsewhere.
