The Wyomissing parents and community provide exceptional support and resources for all areas of the school culture; including academics, clubs, activities and sports. I believe this is the foundation that makes Wyomissing an exceptional school. Pride in the schools academics, student life and facilities fosters a culture of excellence which is a magnet for great administrators and teachers. Im confident that the administration and teachers truly care about each students’ present and future success.

Each student is challenged according to their needs and provided many opportunities to help them reach their goals. Understandably, I’m sure there are some areas that need additional support, however, I have always found the community to be very generous when a need is discovered.

Although the school and community has its share of problems like any other, we love Wyomissing and know we are fortunate to have found such a great community in which to live!

Wyomissing Area Junior/Senior High School is a very small school. With is being so small, it was almost like a close knit family. The teachers are all fantastic! They do really care about their students and will do anything and everything to prepare you for your futures. The coaches of the sports teams are also very dedicated to the success of their teams and their athletes.
Academic wise, Wyomissing is the top of its class. I was pleasantly challenged throughout my high school carrier there. However, there are some downfalls. The school focuses on its brighter students and highlights their carriers. So, middle of the road or lower academic students will get left and will not rise like the others. The school is also a stress pool. GPA matters so much at the school; the students that would be top of their class at a normal school are stuck being "above average". Students stress entirely on their grades and risk their health, both mentally and physically, for a good grade. The teachers at Wyo make it worth it. Especially higher level teachers who teach AP courses will become like family and will make the hours of struggling with hard classes worth it.
