For me personally, Wynne High School had many ups and downs. There were several things that were not favorable in my high school experience. There has not been a lot of college preparation which has been unfortunate. Also, school does not feel super safe at all times because there is a lot of violence. However, I have had a pretty good experience with teachers and class in general for the most part. Although I would like to see it change in the future for other students, it was not just terrible.
It's a good school. The teachers make sure they teach us everything we need to know in life. Everyone gets along, and the staff make sure it is a good environment for us. Sports, Academics, and Clubs are amazing. Each club does creative things. They also help with the community. The kids that are playing sports, are doing a great job with winning! Some teachers actually help the student, so they can pass to the next grade.
The staff is kind (however sometimes seemingly unhelpful when they begin to ignore you), but it always help to know they are attempting to trying their best. The classes are good, but with the recent cut of classes in the AP department, it seems more like it’s destroying progress rather than improving.
While the clubs are well funded and guided, there are some notable exceptions towards seemingly highschool-standard clubs (math club, foreign language club, debate club?).
The treatment of students and bullying is sometimes below standards, but under the new management, it slowly seems to be improving.
Overall, the school is making some improvements while also slowly losing some key factors in creating not only a better work environment but also a social environment.
On the topic of teachers, it’s a mixed bag that usually tends to be more positive. This school has some of the best teachers throughout Arkansas, and it makes it feel like a better community overall.
