People here are completely different than I was used to, coming from another country. I made my one best friendships ever right here and got to be in totally new sport experience (cross country). People are always supportive, teachers and counsellors perfectly helpful with academics and college matters. Tons and tons of different classes and electives to choose between, still showed in a comfortable paper. And finally, school spirit is the highest! Go pirates!

Being able to call myself a Pirate at Wylie High School is an honer that any other high school student would yearn to have. I always encourage parents and children alike that there is no other way than the "Wylie Way" when it comes to the ever growing community, outstanding facility, education, academic variety, students, and fantastic Principal. There are the naysayers who allow their teen angst to hinder their true high school experience, however, some students take for granted the never ending opportunities provided to each individual. The diversity of our clubs and academics provide students with education to fit all unique career paths. Most notably, the very face of Wylie High School's principal and humble leader; Virdie Montgomery. He makes all efforts go to school activities, leaving "AHMO pride" everywhere, and maintaining a healthy environment for the school. The experience I have had overall in my four years attending this school is magnificently memorable!
Most of the teachers at Wylie High really care about their job and their students, and push them to succeed. Advanced classes are readily available and rigorous. Character is exceptional compared to other high schools, and school spirit manifests itself. Virdie Montgomery is the best principal anyone could ask for. Lots of opportunities everywhere!
