W.T. White has all the right opportunities, offering the Engineering Program as well as the Business Program. The teachers are great as well as the councilors. But the administration is a huge mess. The hall monitors and main office staff like to play favorites and give certain students special treatment, and the decisions for college readiness are made without their knowledge. They're pushing students to go for double credit classes versus AP classes because they feed into Brook Haven community College. They send representatives to our school to talk about Brook Haven, where they instead discouraged students who had higher goals, by freaking them out by emphasizing the negatives.

W.T. White is a public high school from the Dallas Independent School District. Since it's public, you can't expect elite-tier education; that's just delusional to think. Because it's public, it has many of the common problems a public school has, such as the state of the facilities (i.e. restroom, classrooms, etc.) and the temper of the staff. In contrast, the bright side of W.T. White is its teachers. The teachers are by far the nicest people I've ever met. They easily took me out of my ignorance and guided me through the path of knowledge to succeed academically semester after semester. Sure, there are some hard-headed teachers out there, but this is just normal. Overall, the state of the school, in general, is not the best, but what can you expect from a public school? The good thing from this school is its teachers, which you can easily count on them when you have problems, academically or personally.
High School at W.T. White was an experience like no other, W.T. White provided me with many opportunities to try many different things and activities. From football, soccer, track, theatre, choir and much more. W.T. White is a safe environment for kids to find their niche and themselves. If I could criticize one thing about the school it would be then school spirit. There are no pep rallies and the school rarely tends to celebrate accomplishments from students. If W.T. White could improve on the morality of its's students it would definitely help the School's environment and experience as a whole
