I love the community it has between its students and staff as well as the parents. Most people know each other and are very supportive. There are so many ways to get involved in this school. It offers rigorous courses such as IB, AP and dual enrollment that give students maximum opportunities to grow academically. The staff is so committed to each student's success, it's amazing!

It's an ok school. I didn't really feel very connected to the overall community although I did have a nice friend group. The majority of the school is upper class sporty jocks, and although there are a lot of nice people, there is also a huge amount of students who are just jerks. There's a senior balcony where seniors openly yell and make fun of students walking by, take things out of their backpacks, that kind of thing, and administration does nothing.
There were a few really good teachers, but for most of them the classes are overfilled and unengaging with teachers reading from a powerpoint.
The food is awful especially if you have dietary restrictions.
I recommend applying for the district's alternative school. Having taken classes at both, I had a much better experience there. The community is incredibly accepting and the classes are much smaller and more engaging. You will also still have access to any Kilbourne classes and clubs which is nice.
Worthington Kilbourne High School has been my home for almost four years; it is here that I have cried many tears, shared many wonderful memories, and began to figure out who I was meant to become. The teachers here have supported me and encouraged me throughout the last four years, and I could not have gotten to my senior year without them. While the education I have received has been exceptional and the faculty has have been loving, I wish that the diversity within Kilbourne would be different. Kilbourne has so many amazing opportunities for learning and growing, but that is the one area that lacks. I wanted to be able to enter college already having built relationships with people from a different background and with a different world view than mine, but I truly hope that going into college, I will have the opportunity to meet even more people and experience what it means to attend a school with a diverse population.
