Woodrow Wilson High School has an exceptional teaching staff who are knowledgeable and that take genuine interest in their students. The high school offers multiple extracurricular activities such as clubs and sports. Sports coaches go above and beyond their job responsibilities to give every athlete the chance to succeed. Club leaders share the same interests as the students in the club they sponsor. The only thing that I would like to see change in Woodrow Wilson High School is the hiring of more school counselors to help alleviate the workload placed on the four counselors, so students can receive more individualized attention.

I love how close the school is to everyone, the school is wonderful. The reason it doesn’t feel that safe is because, it is so big there has already been a fight and we are only five weeks into school. The older children think they run the school too they are very rude, along with some of the teachers, but not many. This school is the light in the darkness, we all grew up separate there were multiple elementary schools, four middle schools including the Christian ones, then there are two high schools Greater Beckley Christian school and Woodrow Wilson High School. Everyone from Park Middle School, Beckley-Stratton Middle School, and Saint Francis Catholic School come to Woodrow so we finally become on community and one family. So one day on a Friday night come see the school spirit at a football game and see how close we are.
Overall, Woodrow Wilson is not an awful school. There are many opportunities for students who apply themselves, but ones who do not will not be ready for college or the "real world." There are a handful of great teachers at this school. There are excellent fine arts but I think we need more foreign languages and more AP/ Dual Credit Courses. I would change the teacher-student ratio, some classes are very over crowded and the teachers cannot understand some of the students "needs."
