Woodlands is deeply committed to the young ladies and families it serves offering very strong academics, opportunities for both personal and spiritual development, and excellent college counseling! The staff are amazing, too. We loved the former principal, Mrs. Edmunds, and also equally love the current principal, Christine Schmidt (who is doing a fantastic job)! Everyone here -- including a knowledgeable registrar -- is doing an outstanding job educating these spirited, very smart, caring young women. My only complaint would be the choices made by the board of trustees. I hope people know that the trustees don't speak for all parents. I still disagree with their decision to let valuable staff go in order to save funds & I also think they would benefit from new, fresher perspectives/members. No place is ever perfect, of course, but this private all-girl's Catholic high school on the northshore comes pretty darn close! A++

Both of our daughters attend the school, and both have had a fantastic experience! They each play on different but very competitive sports teams, and are involved in lots of the clubs, student government, theater, etc. Being part of an international network has been especially fantastic, as they have been able to study at Sacred Heart schools in Austria and France so far, and will be studying at the Sacred Heart school in Japan this spring. Plus, being an all girls' school, they have twice the opportunities to lead, and enormous freedom to pursue a wide range of academic interests!
My first few months at WA have been hard. I'm struggling to make friends, I'm not doing so hot in my classes...the list goes on. But the special thing about WA is that through it all, I know I made the right choice in choosing this school. The classes are really hard, but the teachers genuinely care about their student's success and are enthusiastic about the subject matter. I've been able to dive right into clubs and activities and even assume a couple of leadership roles - all in my freshman year! The girls are kind and committed to their studies, but also know how to have fun. I'll always remember my first red/white rally, my first Traditions, my first class retreat, my first Mass of the H. Spirit. Woodlands is a really special place, and I feel that I've found a home there. WHAT TEAM? WILDCATS!
