From Woodland School
Located just west of 280 at Alpine Road, in the heart of Silicon Valley, Woodland School is an independent day school serving students in early childhood (preschool/preK) through eighth grade.
At Woodland, we believe students learn best when they are inspired. With rich content and an emphasis on student-driven projects, students are empowered and encouraged to be active and engaged learners.
Kindness is in the curriculum. We focus on character building because it takes both strength of mind and heart to live with integrity, to find one's passions, and to create meaningful change in the world.

We love Woodland School! We have two boys, in Pre-K and 2nd grade, and have been extremely happy with the teachers and the curriculum in the three years we have been here. Woodland is for families who want a supportive and authentic community where students not only love to learn but also learn how to navigate in this world with compassion, confidence, and resilience.
We highly recommend!

This is our third year at Woodland. We love it but, more importantly, our kids love it. The teachers and staff do take the time to actually know your kid and they do a great job at meeting their individual needs. Community is not just a word around here. It does exist. And you understand that it does take a village to raise a child - or three! Can't recommend it enough.
Woodland School is an amazing place! My children transitioned into the school from another independent school and have been thriving since day one (3 years ago!). The teachers really do take the time to know each student and help them discover their best selves. Despite the Bay Area bubble of wealth and success, Woodland manages to keep the kids grounded. We are so grateful to be part of this community!
