Woodinville Montessori School Reviews

My son is in a lower el class (mixed age 1st-3rd). I was immediately impressed during our prospective student tour. The student guide, a 3rd grader, was well-spoken and kind. The classroom was quiet; the kids were engaged and working independently or in pairs. My next experience in the classroom was on his birthday when we were invited to bring photos of each year of his life. The kids sat in a circle while my son walked around displaying each photo. The kids were polite and asked questions about the photos. Its obvious that these kids are kind to each other. I am very happy with the school's handling of COVID. Remote learning that started in spring was a smooth transition. I was able to see my son and his teachers interact on zoom. They're caring and able to teach difficult concepts even over zoom. My emails with teachers are answered quickly (within the same day). My son is back in in-person school. I am impressed by how safely and thoughtfully the school has reopened.

We found Woodinville Montessori when we moved to the area and we were immediately impressed with our child's engagement and growth. As we've interacted more with other students over the years, we have been continuously impressed at how well the students learn and demonstrate their mastery of topics. We see them consistently behaving in compassionate, caring ways with their fellow students and other members of the community.
The school has been improving facilities, clubs, and athletics. Teachers are amazing. Staff is great. Parent community is involved and wonderful. Diverse student body. Students who have graduated recently are National Merit Finalists, Semi-finalists and are attending University of Washington's Engineering Program, Willamette, Trinity University, and some have done the early entrance program at UW going straight from Jr. High to college level course work. The math program is exceptional, particularly for elementary students who are ready to do higher level algebra, geometry and calculus at an early age.
