Woodbridge High School Reviews
Rating 3.83 out of 5 494 reviews
Woodbridge High School offers students with an abundance of resources and support from staff members to give their students a pathway to success. The campus contains many clubs encouraging unity on campus among students and in the local community, through organizations including arts, sports, and religion. Woodbridge's rigorous curriculum prepares students for the academic work and responsibilities in places of higher academia and future careers. Woodbridge High also prioritizes their students well-being/mental health, offering resources for help and guidance both on and outside campus through avenues like the "Hope Squad" and mental health professionals in the counseling center. Woodbridge ensures a positive environment for students of all backgrounds and doesn't tolerate exclusionary behavior, expressing this message through posters in classrooms across campus. The school also ensures safety of their students and staff members through a security team and police officer on campus.
Woodbridge High School does well in terms of diversity and providing opportunities for students to get involved with extracurriculars and activities as home to over 100 clubs on campus. Involvement in clubs is a great way to connect with like-minded students and meet new friends. There are several kinds as well: recreational, religious, cultural, academic, and also service clubs where you can earn volunteer hours. With a 96% graduation rate as of 2023, Woodbridge also does a solid job at preparing students for higher education, offering a total of 23 AP classes, along with several honors classes. Recently, the school has also opened an interdisciplinary "Animatronics" course, which combines art, science, math, creative writing, sculpting, and computing into one class. This is just one of several courses, like journalism or ceramics, that allow students to excel in their nonacademic passions. Finally, outside of class, students can participate in athletics, cheer, ASB, and much more.
I loved the atmosphere Woodbridge created for all of its students! I was able to easily make many friends in many of my classes because of how comfortable I felt in such classes. Woodbridge created many different opportunities for all students to feel welcome, included, and able to talk to others. When learning, I felt comfortable enough to ask my peers and teachers for help - even when I was falling behind. Through all these aspects at Woodbridge, my high school experience was elevated to a high point of great satisfaction. I will never forget my time at Woodbridge - through the fun pep rallies, inclusive activities, comfortable class setting, and more!
