I greatly enjoy Wood County Christian School. The teachers are absolutely amazing and they genuinely care about their students. While the academics can be challenging and the amount of homework is quite large, it is worth it. WCCS makes sure that the students know the material they are teaching and if the students are having a hard time, they will help the students are recommend other students to be tutors. The lunch food is great. The people who work there are great. The quality of the school is great. The staff keep the school clean and clear of trash. The teachers prepare the students for college by giving the students research papers and exams. There is also preparation for college with the college prep class provided to juniors. Super great school!
I am a senior at Wood County Christian School and have been enrolled here since 3rd grade. The teachers are absolutely wonderful and truly have the students' best interest at heart. There are chapels every Wednesday and small groups for 7th through 12th grade every Friday. Wood County Christian School has prepared me in many ways to be a leader, a servant, a friend, and a faithful Believer in Jesus Christ. The family atmosphere at WCCS is so comforting. If I were to have an issue outside of school, I could talk to any one of my teachers or fellow seniors and receive Biblical council and encouragement. The coursework is more challenging than that of public schools, but I feel well equipped with the tools that are necessary to succeed in college.
Wood County Christian has helped me grow a lot. This school has given me many opportunities to show who I really and learn how to be the best at what I love. The teachers give a safe and fun environment to learn in, help to teach us in as many different ways as they can to help us all to grasp the concept of what they are teaching, and make sure we are prepared for the future as much as possible. The faculty all together treat the students like family which helps students feel at home. The students, like the faculty, treat each other like family. Everyone knows each other on a personal level which is encouraged through weekly chapel services and small group sessions. Personally, I want to see Wood County Christian shine a light into other surrounding public schools to make a difference in them and to see the students connect. This event would reshape the community and help everyone to connect on a deeper level.
