Wiregrass is an extremely diverse school, with awesome athletic, CTE (Career and Technical Education [Ex: Culinary]), music programs as well as clubs. The music program alone has made pasco county history two times this year by sending one or more members from band, chorus, and orchestra to all state where talented musicians from all around Florida compete to perform in the all state band. Also, the Marching Bulls (Wiregrass’ resident marching band) ended their fantastic season by scoring first place in the state, which has never been done in Pasco County history! As a freshman it’s scary at first to be at Wiregrass because it’s such a big school. With over 2000 students Wiregrass is the second biggest school in the entire county. However, within the large number of students is an even larger and more tight knit community. At Wiregrass you never get bored, and even if you think you’re all alone, there’s always someone waiting around the corner to show you the ropes.

Overall a great experience! Had the opprotunity to be a part of several different clubs as well as the medical academy which was wonderful in preparing me for nursing pre-req courses in college. The student body was very large and all 4 years I attended the school was over-crowded. However, the diversity of students made it easy to connect with people with the same interest!
I attended Wiregrass Ranch High school for one year, my senior year. Before attending Wiregrass Wiregrass Ranch High school, I attended a private school for 11 years. The difference between the two is that Wiregrass Ranch's faculty, students, and administration treated everyone with kindness.I was severely bullied and harassed by students at my previous school, and it wasn't until I attend Wiregrass Ranch High school when I realized that, thats not how people should be treated. I ran on the cross country team and they welcomed me with warm arms and smiles.I learned what it takes to persevere and was given ample opportunities to succeed and grow as a student and a young adult. The teachers knew my name and always treated me with a smile.I never had a teacher that I didn't like. I suffer with a learning disability and the teachers would always go above and beyond to accommodate me. I am very proud to be a Wiregrass Ranch Alum and the positive impact they made in my life.
