Coming from such a small town it was very nerve-racking to go to high with double the amount of people. It was so easy to make friends, teachers helped everyone connect in a way. I really liked how we had the opportunity to learn a trade as well as getting the required academics done. It was nice getting the break from academics when we went to shop. From what I have remembered I never had a problem with a teach or administrator, but if you need something you have to ask, teachers aren't going to chase after you. But I really recommend anybody to this high school.
I love Windham Tech it will always be apart of me. Though its small size we have a big heart and much support in our Mighty Tiger athlete. Most of our students our school spirited oriented. Every so often shirts a made and purchased from students and teachers for school events. The teachers are warm and hard on students because they want us to good. One of my favorite things I love about Windham Tech and the faculty is that when you first walk in on a school day, they greet you by name and smile. The faculty are approachable, helpful, informative, and witty. A lot of the teachers went to school together and graduated from Windham Tech so we can relate and they understand us. Windham Tech always have something going to keep the students busy and on their toes. For instance, the million word reader challenge, spirit week, Winter break extravaganza school assembly, penny wars, and fundraisers. Our school is always kept clean both indoors-outside and appealing to the eye.
I am a senior that goes to Windham Technical High School and what I like about Windham Tech is that it contains shops and trades that you can use in a future career job, the basic stepping stones. What I would like to see changed would be better activities for students, such as clubs, activities, or maybe even music. Another change I would like would be better food and service when it comes to lunch time.
I am a graduate of 2019 and my experience their was amazing. I made a lot of great friends and the teachers were amazing. I wish that I can go back and experience it all again.
As a student, I enjoyed an environment where our safety was the school's priority, the teachers cared about the students, and most knew the students on a personal level. However there needed to be more consistency at the administration level, I saw three principals by the time I graduated.
Windham Technical High School is a great place to go to school for those who want a head start on their career path. My favorite aspects of the school though, are the great teachers and lively environment.
Windham Tech has taught me that professionalism is in the workplace and college. In order to succeed in life, you must be professional and always have a positive outlook on things.
There is no harm or danger during school. I feel safe.
Other than sports and yearbook committee, there is no extracurricular clubs.
The teachers are great leaders and unique in every way- especially their prospectives in things and teaching strategies.
I would come to this school again because Some of my teachers are really nice with me and they help me. What makes this school Unique is that is a small school and you feel safe coming. My best experience during this years is Knowing one of the best teachers I have and her name is Mrs. Nishball she has been helping me since my freshman year.
Some teachers help the students and try to explain everything they can but other teachers don't explain what they are trying to teach.
some teachers are better than others becuase they help the students and make sure they understand the topic unlike some others.
The athletic programs are the main extracurriculars at this school. Being on a sport team means practice everyday after school for a few hours, and numerous games every week. It's a big commitment, but I find it very worth it.
I've had some really great teachers. The sport teams are great and the sporting events are always enjoyable. I like the fact that it's a technical school so I get a break from academics when I go to shop. If I was starting freshman year again, I would still pick Windham Tech over the regular high school.
The teachers are nice. They have strong teaching approaches and have a different style of teaching. I've enjoyed all the teachers I have/had these past 4 years. Grading policies are the same all around for the most part.
It serves a variety of technical carreerrs, (No plumbing) I have two children which have attended this school. The guidance counselors are good, No real push to help kids get out there to seek employment in their fields. The building needs updating, I wish the state could give them a grant
