I have 2 children at Windermere Preparatory School in the Lower School grades. We have been here for 4 years and absolutely love the welcoming family that this school truly is. From the Headmaster, through the Administrative team, to the teachers down to the students and families - this school is one of the greatest communities we've ever been a part of. The school truly cares about my children as individuals. Their teachers have planned their curriculum around each of my child's strengths and weaknesses to give them the best possible education. We love Windermere Prep!

Windermere Preparatory School has many great and bad things. The school is overpriced for what you get, some teachers do not even teach (Most high school foreign language teachers and the Spanish teacher in MS hand us packets everyday while sitting at their desks doing nothing), the lack of Fine Arts, and steering you from academics to "fun activities" that have nothing to do with academics. Stepping away from the negatives, the school has many good things such as IB and high school counselors helping you get into college starting at a young age.
This school is so supportive for all the students. The teachers really want the kids to do well and will stay after school for as long as it takes to help. The atmosphere is like family. The opportunities are so varied and amazing. Different cultures enrich the school as we all learn about the world together.
The only thing I would change is more recognition for Baseball. It seems it NEVER gets mentioned in the weekly news, there are hardly any coaches and JV always gets a raw deal. It needs a bigger budget and it also needs recognizing by the school as much as football and basketball and volleyball.
In Public schools baseball is extremely high profile and very competative. The coaches are renowned for producing winning teams. We have so many talented players in WPS and yet we never get a mention. Our hard work needs recognizing, as we are all so proud to represent our school. GO LAKERS!
