As an honors student, my teachers have for the most part been involved and invested in our grades and our lives. Many teachers, however, have only a limited knowledge of subjects beyond their own, and even classes in their own subject matter that are more advanced. A huge variety of teaching styles exist at my school, but most of them are exciting and helpful. Most AP teachers try to formulate their classes like their college counterparts would be, which prepares us for college and is a welcome break from the busy work of standard classes. Basically, in the honors crowd Wilson Central is great!

Wilson Central High School is home to quite a few very talented and well-rounded teachers and faculty. The English department, in my experiences, shined the brightest of them all. Also, the lead principal, Travis Mayfield, is very accountable and works extremely hard for the school and community. He has the well-being of his school and employees at the top of his list. The downfall to me of the school may be the math department, which does not seem up to par with the others in quality and quantity. Overall, the workers at Wilson Central provide a great environment for most of its students and are very beneficial to their future.
Wilson Central was a good school. The Art and English teachers were above par, encouraging me every step of the way with creative assignments and interesting lessons. However, the cafeteria and administration were both subpar, creating new disasters every day with their inefficient scheduling. They also hired some questionable teachers who did not care about academics (looking especially at coaches, the history teachers). I had to try very hard to feel challenged and pursue my own academic greatness.
