I loved the whole school! There were not as many sports as i would have liked and clubs are really bad ngl. The teachers are pretty good tho!
A very good school, especially for a public school. Fantastic Latin Teacher in particular. Not very diverse- it's in a wealthy, mostly white neighborhood.
Most of the teachers are caring and they care about how you do in school. One of the teachers even wanted to talk to some of the kids about their grades. The cafeteria food is amazing. You can pick from so many other things than just what is on the menu for the day. The office staff knows what to do when something bad happens and overall the staff is amazing.
WJHS, Wilmette Junior High School, overall is a very great school. They have a lot of programs for kids interested in them, such as Orchestra, Science Olympiad, Track etc. If you put in work you will get great experience. On the other hand, a lot of what this school teaches is boring/uninteresting, so a lot of kids don't do the work and fall behind. There is also a very dominate social structure, with groups and rankings. You can be a nerd, jock, wannabe, and you'll probably be stereotyped that way. I was lucky because I found my group and was happy with it, but there was a lot of drama in the school.
At Wilmette Junior High, they offer lots of extra help. Teachers are always available during lunch and after school to offer extra help to anyone who needs it.
The learning environment makes you feel safe. The security of the school is very well-rounded
Some kids are afraid to speak up in their learning environment, but at Wilmette Junior High they encouraged you to make mistakes! They didn't want you to be afraid to speak up and give your opinion.
Wilmette Junior High provided the best resources available and always accommodated to anyone's specific needs.
Involving yourself in sports, whether it's participating or watching them, is very important. It helps a student to feel like a part of the school.
I absolutely loved all of the teachers at the school. They made learning enjoyable.
They offered lots of clubs and sports activities for people of all different interests and backgrounds.
They had a no-tolerance policy. If anything problems occurred, like bullying, they would immediately put an end to it.
