One thing I like about Williston-Elko High is the Guidance counselor, Ms.Brady. She's very helpful, especially when it comes to helping students get into college. She's also a great listener and understanding. I also like that we're able to go to college fairs. I feel that the teachers do want the best for students here, which is always good.
I would say My overall experience at Williston-Elko High School was interesting to say the least. Being in 9th grade I was in classes that I enjoyed and had friends around that I talked to. I wasn't really in sports like other people but that's what I liked about myself because I would only join a club or sport if I was passionate about it. I was in the Beta Club and am still currently in it. Covid -19 hit. Everyone during their 10th grade year had a choice to go to school or stay online and I stayed virtual online for 10th grade for 1 semester. Some people from our school started to move away in 10th grade. I decided to do virtual school online and it was horrible. I was trying to figure out work on my own and it was bad and teachers couldn't really help because they were at school. When 11th grade finally came I was happy because I was getting closer to graduating and time was ticking and I couldn't wait. I really didn't like 11th grade like that as much as 9th grade.
What I like about Williston is the fact that everyone knows everyone. Communication is pretty good. The guidance counselor is very involved with the kids, and is always available when you need to talk or need help with something.
