The Williamsburg Charter High School unites youth, families, staff, teachers and the community at large in providing young people with the tools necessary to make sense of the world, preparing them in their journey to become citizens of the local and global community.

Young people will accomplish this through participation in a liberal arts education that includes language, literature, writing, science, history, mathematics, the visual and performing arts, technology and explorations in disciplines designed to teach justice, independent thinking, respect and compassion for themselves and others as well as the skills of critical thinking, communication and research.

By attending the Williamsburg Charter High School, I have experienced many fun and exciting activities, especially as a senior. I am a part of multiple organizations which has evolved my character as a person. Being a part of multiple committees makes me feel responsible and reliable. The school itself is a great community. It has different individuals in charge of different kinds of support for students both inside and outside of the school. I feel safe and at home, due to the bonds and relationships I have formed with different members of the school. I can talk to anyone about anything and that person will willingly listen. And for that, I am utterly grateful to be a part of the school community.

I’ve been going to Williamsburg Charter High school for 4 years now. Every since my first year there has always been safety issues. There would be fights every other day. Students bringing weapons to school. Bathrooms always smelling like substances. The diversity in race is very fair. Students of all backgrounds. Although there was many distraction in this school that could’ve prevented students from excelling in their education, I was lucky enough to find the good teachers and get into good relationships with them to help further my future. Most of the teachers in Williamsburg charter are there to help and would be more than willing to take the time out their break to help students. Overall this school was an interesting experience for me as a student. If you’re someone who could block out everything that’s going on in the world and focus on yourself and academics and looking to excel. This school is for you.

WCHS offers an abundance of extracurriculars, so you’ll never get bored. WCHS also offers a lot of electives, so you’ll get a chance to do many different things that are enjoyable. The teachers are friendly and very helpful, of course there are differences between the teachers and students but they’re here to help no matter what. WCHS also offers SUPA classes which are Syracuse College Classes that are affordable and I enjoy them more than I’d ever be able to explain, SUPA classes are cool and they’re taught by teachers we already know and trust so that makes it better.
